Best way to clean and sanitize a football helmet
  • Commercial cleaners and polishes may damage the helmet shell or liner (and void your warranty)

  • Cleaning should be limited to regular dish soap (non-citrus) and water

  • Use a sponge or toothbrush to scrub nooks and crannies

  • Do not submerge helmet in water

  • Rinse after cleaning and allow the product to completely dry

  • Sanitize using our preferred Diamond Seal Ultra Blitz application by an electrostatic sprayer set to fine mode (more effective) or traditional spray bottle set to mist mode

  • Apply in a well-ventilated area while wearing a respirator

  • Spray inside and out and do not wipe off

  • Ultra Blitz’s active ingredient remains effective for up to 28 days

  • Other systems, like Ozone, can be used for sanitization as well

NOTE: Avoid warm, dark, moist storage areas. Proper storage should be in a well-ventilated conditioned space

  • Wipe it down with disinfectant wipes or regular dish soap and water

  • Wipe with a wet cloth

  • Allow the pads to completely dry after cleaning

  • Ensure you clean the inside cushion, outside cushion and plastic arches

  • Sanitize using our preferred Diamond Seal Ultra Blitz application by an electrostatic sprayer set to fine mode (more effective) o traditional spray bottle set to mist mode

  • Apply in a well-ventilated area while wearing a respirator

  • Spray inside and out and do not wipe off - remember to get under the epaulets

  • Ultra Blitz’s active ingredient remains effective for up to 28 days

  • Other systems, like Ozone, can be used for sanitization as well
